Dalgona Coffee – You Can Do It At Home

Although it is a privilege to be able to work from home – one of the things we are missing from our daily routine here at Delicious are the Oat Milk Lattes from Tart – just by our office in Clapham Common. But in their absence…

Lets try Dalgona coffee!! It’s all over Instagram and is most definitely worth the hype and fixed our craving for a proper caffeine hit from the comfort of our #WFH lives!

Dalgona Coffee is a South Korean whipped coffee drink which is quick, easy and probably one of the best iced coffee drinks you’ll ever have – plus did we mention it’s made with just 3 ingredients which we can almost guarantee you’ll have at home!

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 2 tbsp instant coffee
  • 2 tbsp sugar (or sweetener)
  • 2 tbsp very hot water
  • 400ml milk
  • Ice

Method

  1. Add the instant coffee, sugar and hot water to a medium mixing bowl. Using an electric or hand-held whisk, whip the coffee mixture until it is light brown, fluffy and holds stiff peaks when the whisk is removed.

  1. Put ice cubes into 2 glasses and divide the milk between both, then spoon dollops of the frothed coffee mixture on top and smooth out with a spoon. Serve and enjoy!

As simple as that – the hardest part is getting your picture just right!
