We took a step back in time to an undeniably low key, cool and arty scene in Berlin…
We produced an authentic Berliner evening for a US client following their conference event. Guests were picked up by genuine East German Trabi cars for a tour of Berlin’s best sights and taken to the underground venue Katerschmaus, former Bar 25 Club which is part of the colourful and creative Holzmarkt location. This place evokes the freedom that is a pure mark of the city – which was dotted with music communes and arts centres in alternative locations such as former water towers, swimming pools and factories.
Commencing in the venue’s terrace overlooking the river Spree, guests enjoyed a canapé reception with mulled wine, followed by an indulgent 5 course dinner created by the restaurant’s head chef Hayk Seirig. Sounds came from the local band ShoeSwingers, who played a delightful selection of swing dance tunes and European jazz.
During dinner, guests were impressed by a East European graffiti artist – member of Urban Clash Collective – who painted a bespoke piece of art and explained his concept the attendees. The event was wrapped up by a photo moment of the guests in front of the finished piece, which the client got sent to their office in California as a post-event memory!
