We find such delight in discovering an outdoor oasis at this time of year. What better way to savour the summer than with a sun-soaked boozy brunch, or an ice cold sun-downer cocktail?

With a multitude of (but still not enough) outdoor spots in and around London, we had the arduous task of whittling the list down to bring you our best in outside drinking and eating.

Camden Beach: Camden beach has returned this summer! Tucked away on the Roundhouse’s terrace, this beachy space is ideal for the complete summer escapade. With 150 tonnes of sand, a pop-up fish restaurant, beach huts and live music, the Roundhouse is bringing the beach to you!

Coppa Bar & BBQ: Think colourful garden sheds, faux lemons and checked tablecloths. Lardo’s vibrant summer Pop-Up will provide a range of Italian inspired treats and cocktails including a negroni and prosecco slushie! Pre-book to avoid disappointment at this loveable Hackney pop-up.

Frank’s Cafe: On top of a multistorey carpark in Peckham, soak in the breathtaking views that Franks has to offer. Sip on a cocktail or nibble on the fast food-esque yummies they have on offer as you bask in the sun. What more can you ask for this summer? Pieces of advice: On the super sunny days get there in good time to avoid the queues, and don’t be put off by the (pee smell) stairwell on the walk up… the view is totally worth it!

New Tom’s: New Tom’s (much like Old Tom’s) now offers breakfast on the weekends and lunch goodies. Their cute outdoor garden space in the heart of Notting Hill is perfect for a scrumptious sunny brunch. We highly suggest their mouth-watering slow cooked duck egg with mushroom duxelle, parmesan, bacon & onion brioche…

Dock Kitchen: This converted Victorian building is a beautiful location to catch the rays, overlooking the Grand Union Canal… oh and the food is amazing too! Their experimental kitchen led by the illustrious Stevie Parle will keep you and your tastebuds guessing with a menu that is constantly changing in accordance with seasonal trends. So get down to this cool waterfront spot at Kensal Green for the full summer experience.
