HKK opens its doors tomorrow to large banquet style tables with an ever evolving tasting menu. Large tables, Chinese and Cantonese inspired cuisine; could this be the new hot dinner ticket in town? The minimal dining space with sumptuous tasting menus are certainly getting our interest.

This new edible offering in our fair city (from the Hakkasan Group, which seems to be going through some well-considered developments recently with the launch of Ling Ling lounge area  at Hakkasan and Chrysan that opened in September, a collaboration with the highly regarded Michelin Starred Food Maestro – Yoshihiro Murata) we imagine will be a welcome addition to the world of client entertaining and high-end dining.

We hear on the taste –vine, this is set to the next destination luxury supperclub style dinner spot with incredible attention to detail. Tong Chee Hwee heads up the kitchen team, (also Michelin Starred and been with the group for many years)  focusing on modern takes on traditional wok and barbeque cooking techniques  and recipes, also using the very on current sous vide slow cooking method.  We are also happy to report that there is an express intention to source organic and local produce where possible for the * course redcuded lunch menu and the 15 (!) course dinner tasting menus.

Dining at HKK

Also catching our attention is the idea of a creative cocktail menu, wine flights and fresh juices designed to match dishes, along with a bespoke tea trolley that is released upon ordering, for a traditional tea pouring ceremony. Love!

Aesthetics have also received amour and attention with a stunning minimally designed dining area for up to 48 guests along with a private dining room for up to 10 guests. Apparently the kitchen will be on show and can be seen from every table HKK.

Client entertaining: We imagine so. This is not a review – yet.

Will tell all and upload real images (currently CGI) once we have been for ourselves. Can’t wait!
